Lettering

This is an example of a carving technique called lettering due to the specialization of some carvers only on alphabet symbols. Alphabetic symbols are carved in a solid plank or wooden board.

The size and the type of the font could defer from one to another to suite a particular style or ensemble of interior or exterior. The material also could be chosen (beech wood has been used on the photos bellow) follow the color or specific type of grain. The example bellow has been oil gilded and silvered.
